I visited Ramen Nagi for the first time and was impressed by the rich, authentic flavor of their ramen—it truly lived up to the hype. The broth was deep and satisfying, and I’d recommend choosing your spice level carefully, as it can get quite intense! The staff was quick to respond and attentive, though they seemed a bit rushed when clearing tables. Overall, a delicious and lively spot worth trying.

This was the 2nd or 3rd time going to this location. Parking can be difficult to find, so we just parked one block away. We went around 5:30pm on a weekday and there was a line already. We waited around 20 minutes to get seated for 5 people. I normally get the red king with a spice level of 4. Other times I felt like the service was great, but this time I felt like the staff was just not there. When the person who sits down people at their table passed by, we asked for some to go boxes and he ignored us. When he was handing out the papers to mark down what you want on your Ramen, he would ask if it was your first time and not explain anything till you got inside. Normally, they explain the paper when they hand you the paper. If it wasn't for how good the ramen is, I would have twice about going again.

One of the best ramen places I have been to in the Bay Area. Sad that it is so far from me. The Black King was very good. It has a more savory flavor and just a hint of iron taste with the squid ink. It isn’t too strong tho. I recommend ordering that one. The red king was also good for that extra spiciness. Karaage is a must try as well. Chicken is crunchy and flakey and the aioli is zesty and tasty. The wait is pretty long but I’d say it was worth the wait. The staff is very nice and will come out to answer any questions. When we sat, they were constantly checking on us and asking us how our experience was. They seemed to care a lot.

Excellent ramen experience. Was apprehensive at first as there was a line to get in but it moved fast. We get to order from a form which they provide as we’re lining up. Food arrives within minutes of when we get seated. Ramen noodles texture has a lovely bite. I chose thin and firm. The broth was superb, one of the best I’ve had from across the world. They also provided generous amount of bean sprouts to supplement. Place was buzzing with happy patrons. Really enjoyed the experience and delicious ramen here.

Very unique place for Japanese Ramen noodles. Generally crowded and you need to wait for an hour in the queue in the evenings and weekends. Best to have non vegetarian options. If you love chillies then you should go for hotter noodles.

Overrated… is the one word which comes to my mind when I think about this place Waiting for atleast an hour, totally a waste of my time and energy. Wanted to see what the hype is all about but was disappointed. It’s not bad but it’s not worth it. There are many other places which serves much better & delicious ramen. Ordered Red King and ticked all the “chef recommended” choices which turned out to be not worth recommending. The karaage chicken was so so. Nothing else to add here. The food was major missing flavours. Not happy about the ruined evening. The seating arrangement is so weird. 2 person tables are so close to each that you cannot have any conversation with each other. It feels like the other table is always watching & listening and vice versa. Nah I wouldn’t recommend it. I would rather go to a mom n pop restaurant and have better tasty ramen than this super commercial overhyped place. Honestly just like me there were many who were only there for the hype. Not worth it!!

Really delicious ramen, great portion sizes too. There's only a few options of food, you fill out a little form to say what you want. There is definitely a line, I would say it's about 20 mins in line, 10 inside, and then another 15 or so once you're seated. So it's not a quick process! The inside is pretty medium sized, there's nice music playing, and the staff was quite attentive and kind. I don't know if it's worth the long line, but it's super delicious nonetheless, and a great place for a meal.

First and probably my only visit to the Palo Alto Ramen Nagi. Went for a mid-week, early lunch, and walked in without the famously long wait in line. The person at the door, explained the menu process, with a quiet voice, and we struggled to hear him over the general noise of the restaurant. Spouse and I ordered the Black King and the Red King, along with the karaagi. Both the ramens were fine, but not overly remarkable or memorable. The karaagi arrived after our ramen was on the table. It was warm, but not hot, feeling like it had been pre-made and sat for awhile. There were some juicy, and some overcooked pieces. The crust was crunchy, but a bit dense for our taste, overpowering the chicken inside. Was still drinking water to cleanse the palate several hours later. The cost is fine, as long as you don’t add a bunch of extras, though the bowl feels a little empty without an egg and seaweed. The staff is a mix of super helpful/attentive, and slightly clueless. In summary, they are famous on the social networks, and might not be worth the typical 30 minute plus wait, unless you really need the photographic proof that you were there.
